Forty-year-old beet ringspot virus isolate: tests for potato true seed transmission, genome sequencing, recombination analysis and phylogenetic placement

چکیده

Summary Beet ringspot virus (BRSV) isolate IF came from a 1980 bait test on Scottish soil sample. Between 1982 and 1984, it was used to study possible BRSV seed transmission in potato ( Solanum tuberosum ). To encourage flowering, scions were graft-inoculated onto tomato plants these grafted inoculated with IF. Flowers BRSV-infected shoots self-pollinated their seeds collected. found readily pollen flowers, but never detected any seedlings that grew seeds. Thus, although present pollen, no evidence of true obtained. In 1985, preserved by freeze-drying kept thereafter historical collection. 2020, subjected high throughput sequencing complete genomic sequence No recombination the its RNA1 RNA2 major parents three, minor parent one, recombinant isolates, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis P1 P2 components coat protein gene encoded placed within lineage. However, too few other sequences different countries provide information geographical associations.

Complete Genome Sequence of a Papaya ringspot virus Isolate from South Korea That Infects Cucurbita pepo

The complete genome sequence of a Papaya ringspot virus (PRSV) isolate from South Korea (SK) infecting squash (Cucurbita pepo) was obtained using paired-end RNA sequencing. A BLASTn search of the PRSV SK isolate full-genome sequence showed nucleotide sequence identity ranging from 81% to 83% with previously reported PRSV isolates (GenBank accession numbers KX655874 and EF017707).

Heterologous Expression of Potato Virus Y Coat Protein, Isolate Pot187

Background: The advent of recombinant DNA technology has facilitated heterologous expression of proteins from various sources in different host systems including Escherichia coli. If a plant virus coat protein is expressed in the bacterium it can be used as the antigen for antibody preparation. Such a recombinant antigen preparation can be particularly useful where equipment such as ultracentri...

Phylogenetic analysis and recombination events in full genome sequences of apple stem grooving virus.

Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV) is one of the most important viral pathogens infecting pome and stone fruit trees worldwide. In this study, with the complete nucleotide sequence of isolate ASGV-T47, which we generated, molecular variation and recombination in ASGV full genomic sequences worldwide were analyzed. ASGV-T47 shared 79.7-97.6% nucleotide identity with the other isolates worldwide an...

Phylogenetic and Recombination Analysis of Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus

Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) severely damages and reduces the yield of many economically important plants worldwide. In this study, we determined the whole-genome sequences of 10 TSWV isolates recently identified from various regions and hosts in Korea. Phylogenetic analysis of these 10 isolates as well as the three previously sequenced isolates indicated that the 13 Korean TSWV isolates co...
